User Interface Design

Vibrant Printed Material

Using WordPress, a developer can now create almost any kind of website imaginable where just 10 years ago you’d have to hire a $60 an hour developer to create a site from scratch.

Not only can I create any type of website using WordPress, from simple calling cards to e-commerce to membership based websites, but with my expertise in HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, PHP, MySQL and Object Oriented Programming, I can easily customize any WordPress based web site to fit pretty much any needs.

I learned to code HTML by hand in 1999 at San Francisco State Universities College of Extended Learning, before the advent of WYSIWYG editors like Dreamweaver. Knowing HTML at this level gives me a huge advantage over many “coders” in that I can understand and edit code at the root level, giving me far more control using applications like WordPress. I know HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery, PHP/MySQL, Bootstrap Framework (Less, Sass), HTML 5 Canvas, Drupal and Django CMS, API’s to name a few.

User Interface is monumentally essential to consider when creating a web site. Since my early days of creating web pages and surfing the web, I’ve had a pet peeve about sites where I had a hard time navigating to find what I wanted at any given point; or illogically built sites where I’d get stuck finding information and would give up to look somewhere else.

I always approach building sites from the users perspective and exhaustively test every link from every conceivable perspective. I have over 15 years of User Interface experience having built or managed over 30 websites in that time.

Working as a Web Developer/Web Master for many companies over the years, including my own company, always includes wearing many hats. One of those is providing Tech Support. I have 25 years experience in providing help desk environments. Highly adept in systems analysis diagnostics and troubleshooting and conflict resolution. Very proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems, software testing, training and installations, quality assurance, conflict resolution, technical troubleshooting. Assisting users with general computer questions, tested/purchased software and setting up work stations.

With over 25 years experience working with computers and especially web, print and graphics software, I’ve amassed a huge arsenal of expertise in Adobe software applications. These include an almost daily usage of Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Adobe Acrobat Pro X. Highly efficient using After Effects, Image Ready, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, Muse, Edge Animate, Edge Code, Edge Inspect, Edge Reflow, Animate CC, Flash Professional, Speedgrade, Typekit and Bridge

I have over 25 years experience in the Graphic and Print design, both freelance and full-time positions and projects. Projects and experience include printed material for large corporations, from concept to production to printing, including annual conference programs, exhibits, invitations, business cards, year-end reports, save-the-date cards, posters, flyers, dinner menus, annual and newspaper advertisements.

I’ve developed unique and successful branding for many companies over the years, focusing on cohesion across both web and print media.

RESPONSIVE SITE DESIGN

All of the web sites I design are responsive sites. Responsive means that a site will adjust it’s layout and orientation to display easily on whatever device it’s being viewed on. These include:

  • Desktop computers
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Smart phones

Days Worked

Projects Done

Coffee Cups

Burritos
